Brave Charlotte Reid,17, was diagnosed with rare craniopharyngioma in July 2015 and saw her life ‘turned upside down’. Her brain tumour is benign, but has affected her growth, mobility and short-term memory, among other things. Despite this she launched a project to raise £20,000 for the Brain Tumour Research centre at Plymouth University, where she was treated. The amount will pay for a week of research at the centre, which specialises in low-grade brain tumours in teenagers and adults. To send Charlotte a message, visit her Facebook page, Charlotte’s Dream – Sidmouth Girl, and use #CharlottesArmy.
So, this is what we are up to every evening this week at choir sessions. Wear bonkers head gear and bring/buy cakes to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. Look out for the photos, they’ll be HatTastic!
