After 18 long months, La La has finally done its first performance in front of family and friends at the beautiful Bystock House in Emouth. It was a gloriously sunny day. We were all so excited to finally be performing the songs we have been learning in our kitchens during lockdowns and live covid secure sessions. Zoom felt like a thing of the past as we heard each others voices lifted in celebration.
.
We were joined by superb musician friends of mine for the songs we recorded as virtual choir videos. That was my surprise and present to the choir. We loved rocking out to Don’t Stop, the video we recorded last May as our first project. Our family and friends clapped and cheered, there were tears of joy and relief and some tears of sadness as we remembered those we had lost along the way.
.
Its been a rollercoaster for everyone but I have never been so proud. The singing was fantastic but my overwhelming memory of the day will be the kindness, love and support everyone showed each other. Every single attendee had completed a Lateral Flow Test to enable us all to be there as safely as possible. Family and friends arrived and checked in, ready with the results, not a moan or complaint, just a smile and a message of love and luck for the performance. It was a true show of wonderful human nature where everyone wanted everyone else to have a safe and happy day.

The photos speak for themselves. Our thanks to Gareth Bartlett for them and the video that will follow. There is no one else we would trust to capture the essence of La La like he does.
.
So if you are ready to come and find some new friends and share in the love and community of La La as well as some super singing of course, then get in touch. We are ready to welcome you to our wonderful family.
.
And La La family, you truly are my happy place
