All in the mind?

New research shows that, as well as the physical benefits to your heart and lungs, singing is good for the mind, too.

 

A recent study highlighted in Psychology Today (click here to read it) has found that community singing promotes fun and happiness, by reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and loneliness.

 

Members of La La Choirs will already know this, as we always have fun, many of us have made new friends, and singing together makes us feel like one big family.  We do all sorts of daft things (see our Gallery for some interesting headwear, for example!), but mostly we just love having a bloomin’ good sing.  Have a look at our Testimonials page to meet some choirs members, and hear about how singing in the choir has positively affected people’s lives, or better still come along to one of our choir sessions and find out for yourself – we’d love to meet you!
